Abstract
Objective To introduce operative method and reconstruct larygeal function. Methods A retrospective review was made on 17 patients treated by Modified Majer-Piquet operation from 1995 to 2002.Of whom 8 were T 1N OM O,4 were T 2N OM O,4 were T 2N 1M O,1 was T 3N OM O.The characteristic of this operation was to preverse the membrance of thyroid cartilage and one third lateral thyroid cartilage. Results All patients can obtain satisfactory function of respiration, swallowing phonation postoperatively,three-year survival rate was 100%(16/16).Conclusion Modified Majer-Piquet operation was appropriate for reconstrction of Laryngeal function.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
