Abstract
Objective To observe the efficacy and safety of compound carraghenates cream in the treatment of hemorrhoids. Methods An open and no-control trial was performed.1108 patients, diagnosed as pain associated with 1~2 degree hemorrhoids or mixed hemorrhoids(1~2 degree to its intered hemorrhoids),from 16 national medical uints, were given Titanoreine cream, and the therapy efficacy and side effect were observed at day 4 and 7 after administration. Results (1) Pain was relieved distinctly in 30 min(P0.0001) after administration.(2) At day 4 after therapy, patients' symptoms of hematochezia, edema, local discomfort and local itching were relieved significantly. The rate of effectiveness was 42.2%(468/1108).(3) At day 7 after therapy, the rate of significant effectiveness was 87.73%,the rate of improvement was 9.83%,and no change ratio was only 2.43%.(4) Adverse events occurred in 10 cases(0.98%) and were self-recuperated without therapy. Conclusion Titanoreine cream which contains protectant of anorectal mucosa and local narcotic has significant effectiveness to treat 12 degree hemorrhoids with pain and without obvious side effects.
