Abstract
The preventive and therapeutic effects of Nitromezuril(a new triazine compound) against E.tenella in artificially infected chickens were assessed in terms of survival rate, relative weight gain rate, bloody diarrhea, lesion value, excreted oocysts in feces, and anticoccidial index (ACI). The results revealed that Nitromezuril showed good preventive and therapeutic efficacies, and its ACI had a high efficiency, demonstrating that Nitromezuril was a promising anticoccidial drug.
