Abstract

Objective To evaluate the efficacy and safety of cefoselis sulfate for injection in the treatment of respiratory and urinary bacteria infections. Methods A randomized, parallele controlled, multicenter clinical trial was carried out.In the study,122 proper patients were enrolled in cefoselis sulfate(trial group),while 122 proper patients were enrolled in ceftazidime(control group),ceftazidime for injection as the controlled drug. The daily dose of cefoselis sulfate and ceftazidime are both 2 g per day,and 4 g per day in case of severe infection, both drugs were given at twice. The treatment duration for both groups was from 7 to 14 days(at least 5 days). Results The cure rate for trial and control was 73.11% and 63.64%,respectively.The effective rate for trial and control was separately 96.64% and 94.22%.The bacterial eradication rate for trial and control was separately 100% and 98.31%.The incidence of drug adverse reaction was 10.83% and 8.87%,respectively.Conclusion Cefoselis sulfate for injection is both effective and safe drug for acute bacterial infection.
