Study Progress of Relationship between Adipocyte Factor and Gestational Diabetes Mellitus

Gestational diabetes mellitus(GDM),which brings the patient some serious clinical complications,is defined as any degree of abnormal glucose metabolism with onset or first recognition during pregnancy.The prevalence is increasing year by year.The development of GDM is related to insulin resistance.Pregnant mother with GDM had more severe insulin resistance than that of healthy pregnant mother besides their functional defect in beta Cell of islet.Adipose cells secrete a variety of cytokines,such as leptin,TNF-α,adiponectin,and resistin,and so on through autocrine or paracrine way to participate in fat and energy metabolisms,are considered to be Insulin resistance and gestational diabetes incidence close.This article reviews relationship between adipocyte factors and GDM.
