Abstract

Objective To investigate the expression of Id-1 in gastric cancer and its relationship with the clinicopathologic parameters, and to explore its clinicopathologic significance. Methods The expression of Id-1 was anayzed with immunohistochemistry SP technique in different gstric mucosa. Results The positive expression rates of Id-1 were 73.3% for gastric cancer tissues,21.7% for paracarcinoma tissues, and 6.7% for normal gastric mucosa. The expression of Id-1 was correlated with the degree of tumor differentiation, invasive depth,TNM stage and lymph node metastasis(P0.05),but had not significant difference for the elements of age,sex and tumor metastasis(P0.05).Conclusion The overexpression of Id-1 has great relationship with the gastric carcinogenesis, and Id-1 could be used as a reference indicator for invasion and metastasis of gastric cancer.
