Abstract
ve To investigate the effect of malaria surveillance and control, the epidemic trend in recent five years(l996 - 2000) were analyzed. Methods The changes of malaria incidence and the effects of malaria control in areas with different vectors were analyzed and compared according to the data of malaria surveillance the ninth - five - plan. Results The incidence of malaria reduced from 0.064/10,0000 in 1996 to 0.014/10,0000 in 2000. The incidence in Anopheles anthropophagus prevalent areas was higher than that in Anopheles minimus and Anopheles sinensis areas. The epidemic situations were not stable in some malaria areas. Conclusion The programs of malaria control were carried out well during ninth - five - year . But the surveillance and control ought to be strengthened in the Anopheles anthropophagurs areas and unstable areas.
