Abstract
Objective To discuss the stategies for the control of malaria in areas with Anopheles anthropophagus as the vector. Methods The control measures adopted effectively for the control of malaria were retrospectively analyzed by formulation of Scheme A and Scheme B in the monitoring sites for assessment of the effectiveness of in malaria control. Results It was observed that malaria incidence has been kept reducing in the pilot trial sites by using Scheme A and Scheme B and only a secondary malaria case was discovered in areas with an incidence of from 1 per 10 000 to 1‰ population. No differences were noticed in effectiveness using the two schemes in areas with an incidence of lower than 1 per 10 000 population. Conclusion The former malaria control measures be used in areas with an incidence of over 1‰;while in the areas with an incidence of from 1 per 10 000 to 1‰ population the measures of using deltamethrin-impregnated bed nets be chosen in combination with radical treatment of malaria cases. With regard to areas with an incidence of lower than 1 per 10 000 population only treatment of current infections is indicated.
