Abstract
Fluorosilicon modified acrylate emulsion is prepared by emulsion polymerization with methacrylate and butyl acrylate as monomers, dodecafluoroheptyl methacrylate and γ-methacrylic acyloxy trimethoxy siloxane as modified monomers, and 2. 5% anionic and nonionic compound as emulsifier,as well as 0. 7% initiator and 1% cross-linking agent. Its infrared spectroscopy is analyzed. It is found that the prepared emulsion features good appearance, the organic fluoride and the organic silicone are both inserted into the copolymer chain. Cotton fabric treated with this emulsion has water contract angle of 140°.
