Wisdom in Zhouyi

Zhouyi consists of two parts: the Text (Jing) and the Commentaries (Zhuan) . Resulted from the interactions between the heaven and human, cause and effect, as well as the unchanging mandate of heaven and unusual conflicts, the Text's coming into being was closely related with the ancient social circumstances and cultural ethos. I Ching greatly characterized with its dialectical view of ever changing of the universe. And the Commentaries (Yi Zhuan) realized Yi' s transferring from divination to philosophical connotations, the harmoniousness being the core of its humanistic spirit. Wisdom of Zhouyi exerted great influence on both Chinese and western society.
