Abstract
Objective: To explore the effects of quercetin on cell cycle and cell proliferation, apoptosis of human breast cancer MCF-7 cell line. Methods: Quercetin was incubated with human breast cancer MCF-7 cell line in vitro, proliferation of MCF-7 cell line was detected by MTT experiment, cell cycle was measured by FCM,apoptosis was analyzed by Annexin Ⅴ/PI double staining. Results: Quercetin significantly inhibited the proliferation of MCF-7 cell line, high concentrations(≥ 50 μM),it promoted cell apoptosis, low concentrations(≤ 20 μM) it arrested MCF-7 cell line at S phase. Conclusion: Quercetin has the biological activity to arrest human breast cance MCF-7 cell line.
