Abstract
OBJECTIVE To evaluate the intervention strategies of health education for management of hypertension of rural community in Sheyang County.METHODS Questionnaire survey and physical examination were conducted among the residents who was selected from people aged 18 or above in five towns in Sheyang County by multistage stratified random sampling in 2005,the same questionnaire survey and physical examination were conducted again in 2008.RESULTS The awareness of basic hypertension-related knowledge after the intervention(89.6%)were significantly higher than before the intervention (P0.05).The behavior formation rates (85.8%) of knowledge about hypertension after the intervention was higher than before the intervention(18.0%)(P0.05).The needs rates(80.3%)after the intervention were obviously higher than pre-intervention(31.5%) (P0.05).CONCLUSION It does play part of role for objects to increase knowledge awareness rates,behavior formation rates,needs rates with effective health education on hypertension-related knowledge in rural community.
