On Ouyang Xiu's Chanting-Things Ci-Poems Inheriting the Former Generations of Literary Imagery

Ouyang Xiu's chanting-things ci-poems disclosed his strong mainstay consciousness or subjective emotion.But the mainstay consciousness or subjective emotion obviously bore the traditional flavour and it was related to his actively carrying on the traditional imagery when he chanted things.He used chrysanthemum to symbolize the distinguished and morally superior virtues,took lotus to express love or lovesickness,and let butterfly ridicule one's changeableness in love.so among them,there were some parts that were from the tradition and yet on a higher level than traditon itself.
