Abstract
A method is reported for the determination of trace bismuth and arsenic in gynostemma pentaphyllum by hydride generation atomic fluorescence spectrometry. The effect of acid medium and reducing agents on the determination of Bi and As and coexisting elements were studied. In the good conditions, the detection limit of Bi is 0.070 μg/L,and As is 0.085 μg/L respectively. The linear range of determination of Bi is 0.1~130 μg/L,and As is 0~180 μg/L.The recovery is about 90.1%~109.4%.The method is accurate, rapid and convenient with satisfactory results
