Abstract
Objective:To study the changes and clinical significance of serum C-reactive protein(CRP) in patients with coronary heart disease(CAD).Methods:CRP levels of 97 patients with CAD diagnosed by coronary angiography and those of 28 patients without CAD as control group were tested with automatic biochemical analvzer. All the CAD natients were aeain divided into three groups:sta-ble angina pectoris(SAP),unstable angina pectoris(UAP) and acute myocardial infarction(AMI).In addition, according to the number of lesion artery, the 97 patients with CAD were further divided into subgroup I,subgroup Ⅱ and subgroup Ⅲ.All the patients were given conventional echocardiography and blood tests.Results:①Compared with the patients of control group,CRP levels of the patients with CAD were significantly increased(P0.05);②Compared with that of control group,CRP levels of the patients in the SAP,UAP and AMI groups were significantly increased(P0.05);CRP levels in the UAP and AMI groups were markedly higher than those in the SAP group(P0.05);③CRP levels of the patients were positively correlated with the number of lesion artery(P0.05).Conclusions:(1) CRP may be correlated with CAD;(2) The abnormal increase of CRP levels may reflect the instability of coronary artery plaque and the severity of CAD.
