Abstract
Practicality is a key feature of Deng Xiao-ping’s theory. It has both inherited and developed Marxist theory of practice, and helped to structure Deng Xiao-ping’s philosophy of practice. Deng’s philosophy not only has interpreted the world, but also has changed it. The theory initiated and advocated the process of the Chinese socialist modernization. Deng takes the idea of facing reality and seeking truth as the essential element of his theory, and has proposed his unique views on practice and different patterns of implementation in the process of building socialism of the Chinese mode. He also has developed and reformed the original Marxist theory from different viewpoints and in various dimensions, and thus shaped his philosophical style of practice.
