Abstract

Germinating from Great Aesthetic Discussion between 1957 and 1963,Practical became the main trend of Chinese Aesthetics in the 1980s.Criticized by upholders of in the 1990s,Practical Aesthetics later stepped onto the road of modification,reconstruction and self-transcendence.Practical Aesthetics has made prominent contribution to the history of contemporary aesthetics.Currently,it has already developed into three new theoretic forms,providing better answers to the questions raised by Post-practical Aesthetics,while maintaining its own vigor.
