Abstract
On the basis of a large number of investigations and analysis of the ecological and environmental problems in mining areas and aiming at the commonly existed ecological safety problems and present situation of ecological protection in mining areas, the article establishes an index system adapted to evaluate ecological safety in mining areas by using `pressure-state-respond' concept model, providing a theoretic basis for scientific evaluation and valid maintenance of ecological safety in mining areas.
