Abstract
Objective To explore the correlation between job stressors and turnover intention of emergency room nurses.Methods The emergency room nurses and intention,medicine nurses from five third-level first-class hospitals were surveyed by questionnaires on job stressors,mental health,turnover intention.Results The workload,working environment,interpersonal relationship and nine factors of SCL-90 of emergency room nurses were significantly higher than those of internal medicine nurses(P0.05).There was a significantly positive correlation between certain factors of job stressors,mental health and turnover intention of emergency room nurses(P0.05).Conclusion Heavier working pressure,poor working environment and multi-factors of stresses were the major factors for turnover intention of emergency room nurses.Effective management strategies should be implemented to protect the health of emergency room nurses,improve their working environment and interpersonal relationship so as to reduce nurses' drainage.
