Abstract
Chronic disease is a widely incidence which is seriously harmful to the health. At present, the prevention of chronic disease is mainly to treat the symptoms, which has some shortcomings in this method, such as grasping the etiology inaccurately, intervening diseases not in time, having no comprehensive intervention measures and lacking of health education to patients. In this paper, a new health management model which called the ‘five-in-one' health management of Chinese medicine is standardized by combination of the TCM theory of ‘prevent disease' with the modern medical health management methods. It includes five aspects: health examination; health education of Chinese medicine; recuperating patients' constitution; dredging meridian; and choosing suitable treatment based on the four seasons. It aims to prevent the occurring of chronic disease and find the cause by syndrome differentiation, and intervening the disease synthetically from the root. This health management method is very effective, safe and economical, especially easy to be accepted by patients. It will slow down the rapid development of chronic disease fundamentally in the future.
