Analysis of the monitoring results of urban and rural pupils′ health in Tinghu area

Objective:To understand the health status of pupils in Tinghu district.Methods:Students of two primary school were selected for health examination in 2010,one of the urban and one of the rural.Results: The top three common diseases among the pupils are poor vision(51.36%),anemia(12.06%),obesity(7.59%).Girls with poor eyesight reached 61.30%,far more than the 43.31% of the boys(χ2=15.76,P0.01).Conclusion:The problem of frequent common diseases attacking pupils shall cause great concern in whole society and it′s urgent for all the schools to enhance the health education and health promotion.
