Clinical Effects of Three Paste Materials in Treatment of Periapical Periodontitis in Deciduous Teeth

Objective To evaluate the efficacy of treatment of deciduous periapical periodontitis applying zinc oxide paste with iodophores,Vitapex paste,or non-filling medication.Methods Three hundred and sixty-three teeth suffered from deciduous periapical periodontitis were randomly divided into three groups,treadted with zinc oxide paste with iodophores,Vitapex paste,or non-filling medication respectively.The patients were followed up for 3 years and the efficacy of each group was compared.Results During one year,there was a significant difference between zinc oxide paste with iodophores and Vitapex paste or non-filling medication(P0.05).the significant difference was observed among three paste materials in three years later.Conclusion Vitapex paste is one kind of ideal filling material.it will be the prior choice in clinical treatment.
