Abstract

cording to Red Book of Plants in China(Vol.1) and National Important Wild Conservative Plants List(List 1),which were issued by the State Council in 1999,there are 32 families,51 genera, and 58 species of rare and endangered plants in Qiandongnan prefecture. In this paper,growth-type and floristic characteristics of these seed plants were reinvestigated and analyzed. The results showed that: 1)18 genera are of tropical and 18 genera are temperate, each accounting for 37.5% of the total generic number, showing obvious temperate floristic characteristics;2) 11 genera are endemic to China, accounting for 23.0% of the total, characterized by ancient origin and obvious endemism.
