Abstract
The alkylation of ethylbenzene with ethanol and the disproportion of ethylbenzene over zeolite-β were studied. The effect factors such as temperature, ratio of ethylbenzene to ethanol and WHSV of ethylbenzene were investigated through experiments and the optimum conditions of the alkylation were obtained. Results showed that at 200~220?℃,when ω(ethylbenzene)/(ω(ethanol)) was 4 to 6 and the WHSV of ethylbenzene was 2 to 4,the utilization of ethanol could attain above 85% and the selectivity of alkylation was more than 70%.
