On Meng Haoran′s Inheritance and Creation of Tao Yuanming′s Pastoral Poems

Abstract

Meng Haoran and Tao Yuanming had many interests and pursuits in common,Meng Haoran inherited and created the cultural tradition of Tao Yuanming′s pastoral poems.Although Meng Haoran wasn′t a hermit like TaoYuanming,he led the people in the prosperous times of Tang Dynasty to appreciate the nature,which he em- phasized both form and meaning.He initiated the genre of pastoral poems in the prosperous times of Tang Dy- nasty.
