Abstract
This article lists the classical statements and the modern research of liver-and-lung-related treatments on intestinal-Qi-stagnation constipation. On the basis of Traditional Chinese Medicine theories including liver governing Qi movement and blood;lung controlling Qi and draining and regulating water pass;lung and large intestine being closely related,we state that both lung and liver play an important role in Qi movement which can induce the beginning and developing of intestinal-Qi-stagnation constipation. We also demonstrate that the method of soothing liver and descending Qi is an quite effective way to treat constipation of this pattern through specific clinical cases.
