Today the medical profession strongly advocates the return of Humanities Education.English language teaching can make a unique contribution to the humanities education in medical colleges and universities.Starting from the humanistic spirit,and combining with the present situation of humanities education in the higher medical institutions in our country,this article explores the relationship between the foreign language teaching and the humanistic spirit.The article introduces the unique role of foreign language teaching to the humanistic qualities of medical students based on the related samples.
