Abstract
An ion-association complex,prepared by CTMAB,a cationic surfactant and azo blueuse,can be used to make dye bleaching.A method for the determination of CTMAB in water was reported in this paper.The reducing of the system absorbance is directly proportional to the concentration of CTMAB.Spectrophotometry studies indicate that Beer's law is obeyed in the range of concentration 0~60 μg/25 mL for CTMAB,at the wavelength of 554 nm,the method linear relations(r=0.998 3),with the detection limit of 0.18 μg/mL.The existence of 21 kinds of common ions cannot affect the determination of CTMAB.This method has a high stability,selectivity and the recovery rate in the process of the determination of CEMAB in water and is one good CTMAB determination method.
