Abstract

Objective: To evaluate the accuracy of Root ZX electronic apex locator in determining the working length of primary teeth. Methods: A total of 214 primary teeth were chose and the electronic length were determined with Root ZX apex locator. The post-operation radiograph was taken to judge the accuracy. Results: The fit filling rate of the measurement was 93.3%.There was no significant difference between anterior primary teeth and primary molars,no significant difference between vital teeth and necrotic teeth, and no difference between apical root resorption and nonresorption(P0.05).Conclusion: Root ZX has high accuracy in determining the working length of primary teeth.
