Abstract
Objective:To investigate the effect by electroacupuncture to β-amyloid peptide(β-AP) caused Alzheimer's disease(AD) rat model on brain expression of Nestin,and provide a theoretical basis for its protection effect.Methods:Admission healthy SD rats 40,randomly divided into normal control group,sham-operated control group,the model group and electroacupuncture group.Using A β1-40 with microinjection to bilateral Meynert basal ganglia of rats,to establish AD model,using electroacupuncture treatment,after treatment uses Morris water maze to investigate the learning ability and memory of rats,and uses immunohistochemical staining to detect the number of Nestin positive nerve cells.Results:①The learning and memory observation: All the escape latency of the treatment group was significantly shorter than the model,rats swimming in the original platform quadrant in all the swimming time were significantly improved,the times crossing original platform location increased significantly(0.01).②Immunohistochemical detection of Nestin: the rat hippocampal Nestin positive neurons of the electroacupuncture group is the highest,compare to model group there is statistical significance(0.01).Conclusion:The electroacupuncture will enhance the Nestin expression in hippocampus neural stem cells of AD model rats,improve learning ability and memory in AD rats,the mechanism needs further research
