Abstract

Objective To analyze and evaluate the application of colour Doppler imaging in diagnosing of chronic venous insufficiency and the degrees of the venous reflux. Methods 600 cases with lower extremity vessels were examined by using 2D,Clarify VE and CDFI and PW technique. And valve closure, the opening degree and the shape size were observed. Results In 600 patients,108 legs in 98 patients with chronic venous insufficiency,54 of them have this problem on left leg, while 44 on right leg;among them there were 60 cases of great saphenous vein,20 cases of common femoral vein and superficial femoral vein,20 cases of great saphenous vein and superficial femoral vein and 8 cases of perforating veins of leg.Bidirectional flow was found in Valsalva maneuver, talks with the patients and standing position.PW retrograde flow waveform could appear, flow back time≥0.7s and back-streaming speed7-10cm/s was regarded as the positive criteria for diagnosing chronic venous insufficiency.Chronic venous insufficiency was sorted into four grades according to the VCT.Conclusion The color Doppler ultrasound device could make a fast qualitative and quantitative detection on chronic venous insufficiency retrograde flow through the blood pressure test.
