Abstract

Objective To explore the clinical value of Doppler in evaluating the first valae of superficial femoral vein before the operation of primary lower extremity deep venous insufficiency. Methods A retrospective analysis was done in 36 patients(42 limbs) with primary lower extremity deep venous insufficiency, and all patients were treated by using polytetrafluroethylene(PTFE) to encircle constriction the value of femoral vein.Reflux of blood flow imagine and spectrum of first valve of superficial femoral vein was analyzed by color Doppler in preoperative which compared with the results of digital subtraction radiography(DSA) and operation. Results The duration of back flow of first valve of superficial femoral vein in patients exceed 0.5s.Conclusion The back flow display and spectrum features of first valve of superficial femoral vein is reliable indicator, especially the duration of back flow(0.5s) for encircle contraction therapy of primary lower extremity deep venous insufficiency.
