Abstract
[Objective]The aim of this study is to understand the nutritional knowledge status,attitudes to nutrition and alimentary behavior of the pupils' parents in Jiaonan city,furthermore,to ameliorate their nutritional status.[Methods]In March,237 pupils'parents completed the same questionnaire containing the questions related to nutritional knowledge,attitudes and alimentary behavior.[Results]62.22% of the 237 persons knew about the twenty questions of nutritional knowledge,and they scored 12.46±3.31 points about nutritional knowledge(full marks were 50 points).47.26% of parents considered food nutritional value when purchasing food.91.98% of parents were interested in nutritional knowledge.97.05% of parents were willing to correct their bad alimentary behaviours.93.25% of parents were active in handling dietary bias and choosy in food of their children.On the whole,78.06% of families have breakfast everyday,while 26.58% of families drink milk everyday.The rate of often eating sweet,fried,pickled and roasted food is 6.75%,4.22%,9.70% and 2.53% subsequently.[Conclusion]It is suggested that pupils' parents know some nutritional knowledge,and have satisfactory nutritional attitudes.However,nutrition education activities should be implemented to make pupils' parents know more nutritional knowledge and take healthy dietary practices.
