Abstract
Objective To discuss the diagnosis and treatment of the splenic tumor.Methods Forty-five cases admitted from Jan.1990 to Dec.2003 were retrospectively analyzed.Results Of the 45 cases,30 cases (66.7%) were diagnosed as having benign diseases and 15 cases(33.3%)havig malignant diseases.The preoperative diagnostic rate was 95.6%(43/45).All were treated with splenectomy.There was no operative death.The prognosis of benign splenic neoplasms was satisfactory,while that of malignant splenic neoplasms was worse.Conclusion B-US and CT are the important diagnostic methods for the splenic tumor.Splenectomy is the main treatment for splenic tumor and therapeutics should be adopted according to the nature of splenic diseases.
