Abstract
Propylene-glycol stearate was prepared directly by reacting stearic with propylene-glycol using solidsuperacid SO42-/Fe2O3 as catalyst. The influence factors were discussed and the optimum conditions obtained was as follows:the molar ratio of propylene-glycol and stearic is 1∶1,ratio of catalyst and stearic,0.01∶1(m/m);reaction temperature is 140~150℃;the amount of catalyst in acid is 1.0 %(m/m),reaction time is 100 min.
