Abstract
The effects of solution treatment on the microstructure of Al-Si alloy containing Sc were studied by rockwell hardness testing,metallographic observation and X-ray diffraction analysis.The results show that the dissolution of precipitates increases when the alloy is solution treated at higher temperature for longer time.But the solution temperature is too high,the microstructure becomes coarse,and the hardness gradually decreases.
