Abstract
Objective:To observe the concentrations of soluble intercellular adhesion molecule1(sICAM1) and transforming growth factorβ 1(TGFβ 1) in patients with acute cerebral infarction (ACI) and its significance. Methods:The concentrations of sICAM1 and TGFβ 1 in 40 patients with ACI and 30 healthy control subjects were measured by a sandwich enzymelinked immunosorbent assay(ELISA) method. Results:The concentrations of sICAM1 in patients with ACI were significantly higher than those in the healthy control subjects at day 1,3 and 7,the concentrations of TGFβ 1 in patients with ACI were significantly lower compared with those of the healthy control subjects at day 1 and 3(all P 0 001).Conclusions:The dynamic changes of sICAM1 and TGFβ 1 concentrations may reflect the immunological and inflammatory status of the patients with ACI,meanwhile,sICAM1 is an inflammatory damaging factor and TGFβ 1 can protect brain tissue.
