Modernization and Nationalization of Chinese Philosophy——On Feng Youlan's View of Modern Chinese Philosophy

Abstract

Feng Youlan put forward his own view of modern Chinese philosophy by summarizing development of modern Chinese philosophy.According to him,modern Chinese philosophy is development of Chinese philosophy in modern times and is characterized by unity of modernization and nationalization.Feng Youlan's view of modern Chinese philosophy carries the distinctive feature of duality.On one hand,it reflects the integration of Chinese and western philosophies.On the other hand,it neglects Marxist position and value in modern Chinese philosophy.
