Analysis on the System of Buddhism Officials in Wei Jin Period

Abstract

There has been a more than one-thousand-year history for Buddhism in China,and Buddhism has become an important component part of Chinese culture.Nowadays,Buddhism is still having a significant effect on Chinese society.After coming into china at the end of Han Dynasty and the development in Weijin Period,Buddhism was thriving with its organized shaman groups,and influencing the whole society more and more.By this time,the government also was aware of Buddhism's great power of influence and gradually adopted public administration on Buddhism,and built a whole system of Buddhism officials.This article analysed the system of Buddhism officials' generation,set-up and finally its value for the management of Buddhism and other religions in China nowadays.
