Pigging Operation Practice and Analysis of East Line of Hang-Yong Natural Gas Pipeline

Hang-Yong natural gas pipeline had not yet been pigging since it was put into production. With the natural gas transmission volume increasing year by year,it was necessary to carry on the pigging operation considering the condition of pipeline. The pigging operation removed the long-term impurities in the pipeline and check the internal capacity and defect of pipeline. The reasonable gas transmission scheme and the effective measures to control the pigging velocity ensured the smooth implementation of the pigging operation. The pigging scheme and process of east line of Hang-Yong natural gas pipeline( ChunxiaoYuyao) was introduced in this paper. Combined with its own characteristics and the experience of long-distance pigging operation,the problems in pigging operation were summarized in this paper and the improvement measures and suggestions were put forward,thus providing references for the safe and efficient pigging operation.
