Abstract

Objective To investigate the relationship between serum pregnancy-associateplasma protein-A(PAPP-A),high sensitive C-reactive protein(HsCRP) and the acute coronary syndromes(ACS).Methods 65 coronary heart disease patients(CHD) diagnosed with CAG and Clinical symptoms including 45 with ACS and 20 with SAP were involved in the present study, which was controlled with 20 cases with non-CHD.the serum level PAPP-A was measured with enzyme-linked immunoassay.HsCRP was measured with immunity turbidimetry. The Lesions of coronary artery was assessed with Gensini score. Results The level of PAPP-A and HsCRP were significantly higher in patients with ACS than that in those of SAP and Control(ACS:36.22±12.64 mIU/L,3.23±1.57 mg/L,SAP:15.31±7.65 mIU/L,1.04±0.51 mg/L, Control:13.15±3.37 mIU/L,0.60±0.42 mg/L,P0.05),The level of PAPP-A was not correlated with accumulated Gensini score of vessel Lesions, but The level HsCRP was significantly correlated with it.Conclusion The serum level PAPP-A and HsCRP are significantly higher in the ACS patients.PAPP-A and HsCRP might be valuable for diagnosing ACS.
