Abstract

Li Qi,a poet living in the heyday of Tang Dynasty,was dominated by the thought of Taoism.On the other hand,he was not promoted by the central government for a long time.So his mindset was especially desolate among the poets living in the heyday of Tang Dynasty.Under the influence of this mindset,his poems not only maintained the virile and deep features of poetry in that period,but also included the lonely style which guided the poetical style of the mid-Tang Dynasty.Therefore,Li Qi's poems played a significant part in the transition of poems from the heyday of Tang Dynasty to the mid-Tang Dynasty.
