Abstract
Basing on three aspects of the axis:origin, form and the relationship with city,this paper presents its developing process of traditional cities in China and concludes its effect on consturction of cities by contrasting chinese cities with foreign cities on it.In the end,it put forwards the wrong in the current urban design on the axis and presents corresponding solution ideas by the research on some typical cases in the current urban designs of China.
