Effect observation of telbivudine in the treatment of chronic hepatitis B patients with poor response of adefovir dipivoxil

Objective To evaluate the efficacy of telbivudine in the treatment of chronic hepatitis B patients with poor effect of adefovir dipivoxil.Methods Sixty-two cases of chronic hepatitis B patients with with poor effect of adefovir dipivoxil in our hospital were randomly divided into two groups,the control group of 32 cases were treated with telbivudine,and the observation group of 30 cases were treated with telbivudine plus adefovir ester.The differences of ALT normalization rate,HbeAg/HBeAb seroconversion rate,HBV-DNA negative rate and response rate between the two groups were compared 3 and 6 months after treatment.Results Two groups all had some degree of the ALT normalization rate,HbeAg/HBeAb seroconversion rate,HBV-DNA negative conversion rate after treatment,but the indicators of the sixth months of the observation group was significantly better than that of the control group.They all had higher response rate,and the complete response rate in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group.Conclusion Telbivudine has a good effect for chronic hepatitis B patients with poor response of adefovir dipivoxil,while the efficacy is more ideal associated with the adefovir dipivoxil.
