Abstract
The high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC) detection methods for carbofuran and carbaryl in water samples were improved. The carbofuran and carbaryl in water samples were extracted by dichloromethane, the extract was concentrated by nitrogen blow-down,and the isogradient elution was used in HPLC detection. The recoveries of standard addition for carbofuran and carbaryl are 86.5% to 93.6% and 88.2% to 102.2% respectively. The lowest detection limits are 0.025 μg/L and 0.010 μg/L respectively. The improved method can be used for high sensitisity analysis of trace carbamate pesticide residues in water.
