Abstract
Objective To explore the health related behaviors of rural people in Sichuan Province,and to provide scientific evidence for carrying out health education and health promotion in rural areas.Methods Observation method and questionnaire were used to investigate women in whose family there were children under 13 years old in three rural areas in Sichuan Province.Also,in-depth interview was used in the survey of three primary schools.Results The positive behavior rate of targeted people—who would wash hands with soap after contacting to fecal(7.81%) or before cooking or children feeding(4.69%)—is low.The ways of depositing children's fecal had the possibility to pollute enviornment and water around.The effect of health education carried out in school is not good.Conclusion It is necessary to enhance health education and health promotion in rural areas to ameliorate negative health related behaviors,and eventually to improve the life quality of rural population.
