Fostering Autonomy in College English Listening Classes

Learner autonomy is a very important ability for language learners. However,autonomy is something that can not be learned but fostered. With the up-growing status of listening in language teaching,teachers should actively help language learners to foster their autonomy and thus improve their English level comprehensively. The article proposes several applicable principles for autonomy fostering as well as revealing the significance of autonomy in language learning.
