STUDY ON HEALTH EFFECT AND DYNAMIC CHANGE IN LIVING ROOM DECORATION POLLUTION

[Objective]To study the relationship of pollution status and dynamic change with human health effect,by 3-consecutive-year pollution detection.[Methods]A random sample of living rooms with half year after decoration was studied by field investigation and pollutant detection.[Results]Indoor air pollutants were mainly formaldehyde and benzene.Three-year follow-up monitoring results showed that:formaldehyde excessive rate in the air after two years house decoration was 59.15%,and the release of formaldehyde concentration decreased slowly with the time.Benzene excessive rate in the air after half year house decoration was 14.86%,the release of benzene concentration decreased fast with the time.Formaldehyde and benzene had bad influence on human health.The incidence rates of 12 symptoms and diseases were higher than those of groups in no pollution room,and the symptoms had correlation with formaldehyde and benzene concentrations.[Conclusion]In Shizuishan city,air pollution in living room is serious,and there are some hazards on human health.
