Abstract

The amphoteric fatliquor of N--amido--ethylenediamine--β-aminopropionic acid type has been synthesized by saturated fatty acid reaction with ethylenediamine and acrylic acid. The optimum synthesis condition of the two step chemical reaction were reaction temperature 80℃~90℃ and 100℃~110℃, reaction time 1h and 2h and n (saturated fatty acid):n (ethylenediamine):n(acrylic acid)=1:1:1. The application experiment has been carried out and the structure of product was characterized by FT--IR.
