Abstract

Consumption demand is the ultimate demand,and the consumption stimulus is the essential engine of the economy.It makes a significant effect to do research on the Shaanxi consumer demand and strengthening its effect on stimulating economy for keeping sustained economic growth of Shaanxi province.We made a demonstrated study on the status and the trend of urban and rural residents' consumption composition of Shaanxi province using the Extended Linear Expenditure System model(ELES) based on the ten years' data from 1999 to 2008 and put forward suggestions on expanding the residents' consumption demand and optimizing the residents' consumption composition.
